My Methods
All instruction is individualized to meet the unique needs and
learning style of the student. The method(s) fits the student's
interests and needs. The curriculum is comprehensive and includes:
- Reading music
- Building your knowledge base of musical concepts
- Playing technique
- Theory
- Ear training
- Sight reading
- Building a repertoire
A variety of methodologies are used including: Faber, Bastien, Snell
and Ashleigh, Schaum and Thompson. Additionally, I provide supplemental
material that is of interest to the student and has musical and
experiential value.
Students have the opportunity to play at Kerrytown Concert House at our
Annual Spring Recital.
